This post is going to be very Bollywoody, so Hindi movie snobs stay away!! :)

One person who needs a crash course in ‘How to Preserve One's Dignity’ has got to be Rekha. Just what was the need to go and plant kisses on the cheeks of the son & daughter-in-law of the man you had a flaming extra-marital affair with?
This is what happens when you do something like that…
You get snubbed and how!!
Will she ever learn?
And can someone please tell me why Rekha’s wearing sindoor? Does she think she’s still married? To whom? Does she think she’s married to Amitabh Bachchan? Dear lord!

The other wonder of the world is none other than Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. She touched Bhanu Athaiya’s feet while presenting her with the Lifetime Achievement Award. Pray WHY???
Touching people’s feet has almost become fashionable these days. Someone please tell Aishwarya Rai that she has already pataod her in-laws & schmoozed her way into the Bachchan household, so she can lay all this nautanki to rest now!! They won’t kick her out of their family even if they want to for fear of bringing a bad name to the Bachchan family.
Also I’m very curious why she was chipkoing more into Amitabh Bachchan than her husband? She was clinging on to his arm throughout the ceremony!
Errrrrrrr…did she, for a moment, forget which Bachchan she had married? Hello, they are human beings....not peepal trees that you get confused as to which one you’ve married!!!!!
It was hilarious! Female ‘Ghajini’ in the house? ;)

Talking about ‘Ghajini’….WHAT IS WRONG WITH ASIN?
Someone won a technical award for Ghajini. These two guys were called on stage to present the award to him. Suddenly, Asin climbs onto the stage from nowhere, takes the award from them & gives it to him!! Karan Johar went “And we also have Asin on stage….”
I think he just stopped short of saying “…though I don’t know why?”

With every passing day & movie/public appearance by Deepika Padukone, I’m starting to believe more & more that ‘Om Shanti Om’ was a fluke as far as DP is concerned. She doesn’t know how to speak and can’t act/emote to save her life! She was wooden, stiff & emotionless throughout on stage! Even Aishwarya Rai is more expressive than her!!!!
And that’s saying something.

Sabyasachi seems to be the flavor of the season in Bollywood. Bipasha Basu & Aishwarya Rai both turned up in Sabyasachi sarees. While I didn’t quite like the cut of Aishwarya Rai’s blouse (it looked more like a sports bra to me), it had some nice self-detailing on it.
And Bipasha Basu didn’t do justice to her beautiful saree at all by wearing that tacky bright pink blouse.
We thought Bipasha had better style.....Or maybe that’s limited to Western outfits?
Whose saree did I like more?
Aishwarya Rai’s definitely.
Not to mention she's looking good after a very long time! She has an atrocious taste as far as Western outfits go - especially gowns (remember the parrot green gown she wore during her first appearance at Cannes?) - so maybe she should stick to sarees!

Check out the outfits of the dancers in the performance by Abhishek Bachchan. What kind of outfit is this???
Shorts for one leg & trousers for the other. Really…..who comes up with such designs????

Did you know that Priyanka Chopra turned Fashion down initially? Apparently, she did not want to do the movie b/c of the grey shades in Meghna Mathur’s character. It took a lot of convincing on Madhur Bhandarkar’s part to get her to do the movie.
And apparently Aishwarya Rai is upset with PC b/c in her acceptance speech, she mentioned Aishwarya Rai’s beauty & Kajol’s talent!
Ha ha! I don’t blame PC for not noticing Aishwarya Rai’s acting talent. We didn’t either!! ;-)
I don’t understand why model-turned-actors get so defensive when people run down their acting skills. They started out being models, not actors – so what’s the big deal? They become actors not b/c they have this storehouse of acting talent bursting to explode! They get into movies b/c of the money & fame that comes with films & becoming a model is a short-cut to getting into movies. If they are dying to be “actors” in the true sense of the word, they would start their careers as actors or take the theater route. Simple! So cut the crap, shall we?

Most lacklustre appearances of the night.....
Some color wouldn't have hurt, would it? :)
A LBD would've looked much nicer than this drab black gown!

Burning question of the 54th Filmfare Awards – Why was A R Rahman seated in the fourth row?????
Why should Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor, Katrina Kaif, Gauri Khan, Abhishek Bachchan etc. be sitting in the first row while A R Rahman is relegated to the fourth?

It was fun though.. i watched a bit.
Unlike last time's classless act with towels and blue face packs on stage. And I LOVE Farhans quirky sense of humour!
'we won a joint'!!!
You should watch 'Oye It's Friday' to get more of Farhan Khan's humor.
There were mentions of the towel this time around as well.
You are an extremely extremely funny blogger!!!! I started laughing aloud on the shorts on one leg and trousers on the other comment!!!!! Trust you to notice that!!
This time's Filmfare was better than the others i think!! It was less boring with less performances.. i quite liked Imran Khan and Ranbir Kapoor!!!
So are you! Funny blogger that is. But seriously, there is no dearth of demented people in this world. They do the stupidest of things, so why not laugh at their expense?? :))))
Havent gotten around to watching it. but he's totally my new boycrush. :)
Deepika seemed the most wooden off the four. Ash was at her plasticky best at PP2. Anyway who can take the Filmfares seriously when a Jodha Akbar wins best film.
If i pick a DVD which says Oscar winner, its likely to be a winner 9times out of ten
Nothing to beat SRK's live shows though. Even those 5 minutes were enough and stood out
@The Knife - I think Deepika Padukone to stick to modeling. What happens is, once a pretty face gets into acting & sucks at it as much as Deepika Padukone does, even the prettiness loses its charm! Even I couldn't believe Jodha Akbar won Best Film. I thought 'Jane Tu...' & 'Rock On' were much better.
