Middlemarch is the book I would have written if I could write one. Else Crime and Punishment, if I were a guy or could write like a guy.
I guess the place to learn English is India now :)
@Moonshine - Yeah! There are many classics that I haven't read and now I have a list! :)
@Melee - Yes, I've read Les Miserables. It took a lot to read through it but I made it. The Hunchback of Notre Dame is still on my list though :)

I have read 11 of these... whoa, reminds me of the fact that I have to read more...
40 is my count. I have read most of Shakespeare but am not sure it can be counted as Complete Works. So, leaving that out. I think most of the books you have read are one my "already read" list. Some that you have not highlighted include all the Jane Austen Works, LOTR, Philip Pullman, Salinger, Jane Eyre, Narnia series, Animal Farm, Montogomery and Three Musketeers. Some that you have read and I have not include Gatsby, Life of Pi, 1984,Steinbeck, Golding etc.
