How I miss my para! And yes, her face gives me goosebumps every year. I love it that thru all these years, her face has remained the same and not been subject to crass pujo pandal themes!

I get goose bumps everytime I go to a puja at Bombay as I remember my days in calcutta. i went to a very lovely one at Santa Cruz. It is more of a ghhorua puja than the Bandra Lokhandwala variety. Which was in keeping with the sombre mood of the last few days. We might go to bandra tonight...btw maddox square is the favourite spot of young kids and a hotspot for many a romance...from what I've heard

@ Hobgoblin - Thanks for reading & leaving a comment. I've seen pictures of the Maddox Square Durga over the years & it really has remained the same/

@ Saakshi - Hope you had fun pandal hopping. I'm not made of stuff that can do that but the amount of energy & enthusiasm people in this city have for it is amazing!! Btw..thanks for reading & leaving a comment too.

@ The Knife - From what I've heard, the crowd at Maddox Square used to be much better with people from the neighboring posh areas of Ballygunge Circular Road, Ritchie Road etc. visiting the place. Apparently, the women were supposed to be very pretty. But things got so hyped that now you see a very ordinary crowd...people from areas nearby Calcutta form the crust but yes, Maddix continues to be the center of romance & 'adda'!!

that's right.., in fact I have heard of unbridled molesting/ feeling/ groping on cal streets/ pandals. never heard of it during college days...wonder whether this is a changing scenario. I was at the bandra Pujo during nobomi night and appreciated the space which u don't get in any equivalent bug cal pujo
