All Christmassy on the Scarlett Front

I am happy. Make that very happy. No, ecstatic actually. Why?

Because it's almost Christmas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In case you can't tell from the pictures on my blogs, the 'Jingle Bells' carol right below this post & the countless exclamation marks above....I LOVE CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's my favoritestest festival of the entire year! I like Diwali too but Diwali is more about being with family etc. Whereas Christmas is all about warmth & joy, and Christmas decorations are much prettier than decorations for any other festival. Take malls for example. They are so prettily decorated around Christmas!! Actually, I love everything about Christmas...the decorations, the plum cake, the midnight mass. The very mention of Christmas generates visions of warmth, fireplaces & apple ciders in my head. Not to mention winter & snow!

Sigh...I really do love Christmas.

So let's all be happy & celebrate Christmas. Like the Delhiites say - MERI CHRISTMAS, TERI BHI CHRISTMAS!!! :D

This one's for Moonshine, a Delhiite to the core who shares my love for Christmas. Guess where it's from, Moonshine!!

My mom's going to be here. She's reaching Christmas morning, in fact. Will take her out. We'll go buy plum pudding, go for a nice lunch at Park Street. I'm planning to call a couple of friends over in the evening. Will make apple cider, have plum pudding. Today I'm going to buy some Christmas decoration for work & home. After years I'm going to be with at least one family member over Christmas :) Will take my mom for a Christmas movie, if there is one, after lunch. What are your plans?

Hey! I couldn't find my Bombay Christmas tree & decorations either. But never mind..everything happens for the better :) I bought a new tree & it's GORGEOUS! It's already decorated with red & gold bows & balls & other pretty stuff!! Apart from that I also picked up a beautiful wreath for my door, a santa inside red socks & a pair of golden bells. I'm going to decorate my home now so I can come home to Christmas for as long as I want :)

Apple cider can be made from apple cider concentrate that is available abroad but not in India. It's basically non-processed apple juice so I've devised my own recipe - which I don't know will work or not but I'm gonna try anyway!

Boil apples, make pulp out of them in a mixer, put in a pan along with some garam masala (whole, not ground), cinnamon sticks, lemon & honey. Bring to a boil, simmer for 5 mins. Remove & serve HOT. You can even add some brandy if you want to make it alcoholic :)

I think you can make it even with apple juice.

Sounds quite alcoholic!!! Hmm interesting.. you try and tell me .. if it works i will try it too!!!!

Havent bought a christmas tree yet!!! :(
