Is It The Flu?

How does one tell the difference between Flu & viral fever? Or are they the same thing?

I've been down with fever, head ache, terrible body ache & a runny-itchy nose since Wednesday night. The fever comes and goes. I'll feel fit as a fiddle for a couple of hours and start feeling sick again. It's most annoying.

I'm bored out of my freakin' mind staying home. Can't read / surf the net / watch TV for too long...start feeling tired & sick after a bit.

Is this the time of year for catching the flu / viral fever?
